Intranet Usage


1.  What is the purpose of the Intranet?


The Intranet provides CRF staff a central location to access corporate data, contact information, and collaboration services.  The Intranet contains important company information such as:


"Contact Information"  - Contains detailed information on who to contact depending on what you need.  Each department and facility has a contact page. 


"Documents" - The "Documents" link provides quick access to company-wide documents and forms from all departments.


"Policies and Procedures"  - provides access to latest CRF Policies and Procedures


"FAQs" - Frequently Asked Questions from multiple departments


"Workspaces" - Dedicated Intranet sites designed for a specific purpose and collaboration with a team.  For example, a specific workspace can be created for a new RFP where the RFP team can collaborate on documents, tasks and discussion.


2.  I need to login to the Intranet from home.  How can I login offsite?


In order to login to the Intranet ( https://crfintranet.comresearch.org ) from home, it is crucial to know that you must use your complete email address as your login name.  For example, John Smith would use [email protected] as the account name to login to the Intranet from home.


3.  How do I upload a document to the Intranet?


Some folders have specific permissions on the Intranet and it is important that you follow the correct steps to upload a document.  Follow these instructions to upload a document to the Intranet.


4.  I want to be alerted or notified when a file is changed or uploaded to a workspace on the Intranet.


"Alerts" can be set up to email you when a file or "list' is uploaded or changed on the Intranet.  Follow these instructions to setup these alerts.
